This notice is to advise that Cape York Land Council (CYLC) will be facilitating consultation between those Native Title Holders whose traditional land and waters are directly affected by the proposed grant of Exploration Permit for Minerals (EPM) 28074 and the project proponent, Silica Australia Pty Ltd, on 20 January 2025. The Explorer met with the Native Title Party on 17 October 2024, and it was agreed that the Parties would come together in January 2025 to further discuss the Explorer’s proposed project.

Purpose of this meeting:
On 17 October 2024, the affected Native Title Holders met with Silica Australia Pty Ltd to discuss its proposed project.
At this meeting, it was agreed that the Native Title Holders would further consider the project and attend a meeting in January 2025 to discuss the progression of this matter further. This meeting is facilitated in accordance with the agreed meeting outcomes of 17 October 2024.
