Olkola Determination (QUD 673 of 2014)
This notice is to advise that Cape York Land Council (CYLC) will be facilitating a meeting for those people who hold native title rights and interests in the PacGold Ltd Alice River Project area (as shown on the map below in Black, Blue and Red). This project includes; five granted Exploration Permits for Minerals (EPMs), two EPMs under the right to negotiate and eight granted mining leases.
Details of the meeting are as follows:
Who: People who hold Native Title rights and interests within the Olkola Determination area of the Alice River Project

Purpose of this meeting:
This meeting is for:
- The outcomes of the meeting between PacGold Ltd and the nominated working group for EPM 28287-8, conducted pursuant to normal negotiation procedure as prescribed under s.31 of the Native Title Act 1993 (Cth), may be further progressed by the affected Native Title Holders.
- The outcomes response notice provided to PacGold Ltd on 14 October 2024 and the upcoming field inspection, pursuant to the Native Title Protection Conditions, may be further discussed.
- CYLC to provide the affected Native Title Holders an update on the Alice River Project.

Travel Attendance
CYLC has limited funding available for travel assistance to this meeting. CYLC may be able to provide some assistance, for example fuel reimbursement. CYLC will prioritise assisting elders and family representatives and will consider how limited funding can be allocated to support a broad representation of the affected Native Title Holders.
