Cooktown
This notice is to advise that Cape York Land Council (CYLC) will be holding a meeting on Thursday 13 June 2024 in Cooktown for all members of the Yiithuwarra Native Title Group who hold or may hold native title rights and interests in the area shown on the map below within the Cape York United #1 (CYU#1) Claim Area. This is an important decision-making meeting and we encourage all members of the Yiithuwarra Native Title Group to attend. Details of this meeting are as follows:

Purpose of Meeting
The purpose of this meeting is for a decision to be made by the Yiithuwarra Native Title Group about:
- Whether the boundary between Yiithuwarra and Guugu Yimidhirr commences at:
(a) Cape Bowen; or
(b) the Jeannie River; or
(c) another boundary to be described by the Yiithuwarra people at the meeting. - The group description of the Yiithuwarra Native Title Group by descent from apical ancestors

All Yiithuwarra People are invited to attend this meeting.
