This notice is to advise that Cape York Land Council (CYLC) will be facilitating a meeting on Thursday 16 May 2024 in Cairns for all members of the Eastern Kuku Yalanji Native Title Group who assert native title rights and interests in the area shown on the map below within the Cape York United #1 (CYU#1) Claim Area.
Details of this meeting are as follows:

Venue: Rydges Esplanade, Abbott Street, Cairns
Purpose of Meeting
The purpose of this meeting is to:
(a) confirm the boundary of the Eastern Kuku Yalanji Native Title Group with the Guugu Yimidhirr Native Title Group negotiated by the Eastern Kuku Yalanji nominated representatives;
(b) confirm the nominated persons who hold cultural authority to speak for the boundary area between the Eastern Kuku Yalanji Native Title Group and the Western Yalanji Native Title Group; and
(c) discuss the apical ancestors that make up the group description for Eastern Kuku Yalanji.
Who is invited to attend the meeting?
All members of the Eastern Kuku Yalanji Native Title Group who assert native title rights and interests in the area shown on the map on this notice.
