This notice is to advise that Cape York Land Council (CYLC) will be holding a meeting on Wednesday 1 May 2024 in Hopevale for all members of the Guugu Yimidhirr Native Title Group who hold or may hold native title rights and interests in the area shown on the map below within the Cape York United #1 (CYU#1) Claim Area. This is an important decision making meeting and we encourage all members of the Guugu Yimidhirr Native Title Group to attend. This meeting has been rescheduled from 22 April 2024 due to sorry business. Details of this meeting are as follows:

Purpose of Meeting
The purpose of this meeting is for CYLC to:
(a) confirm the boundaries of the Guugu Yimidhirr Native Title Group negotiated by Guugu Yimidhirr nominated representatives; and
(b) confirm the apical ancestors that make up the group description for Guugu Yimidhirr.
Who is invited to attend the meeting?
All Guugu Yimidhirr People are invited to attend this meeting.
