This notice is to advise that Cape York Land Council (CYLC) will be facilitating a meeting on Wednesday 24 April 2024 in Cairns for all members of the Eastern Kuku Yalanji Native Title Group.
Details of this meeting are as follows:

Date: Wednesday 24 April 2024 – this meeting has been postponed and will be renotified
Time: 9am – 4pm
Venue: Rydges Esplanade, Abbott Street, Cairns
Purpose of Meeting
The purpose of this meeting is to:
(a) Provide an update on progress of the Cape York United #1 Claim (South East area of claim shown on map in pink);
(b) confirm the boundary of the Eastern Kuku Yalanji Native Title Group with the Guugu Yimidhirr Native Title Group negotiated by the Eastern Kuku Yalanji nominated representatives;
(c) confirm the Eastern Kuuku Yalanji persons who hold cultural authority to resolve the common boundary between the Eastern Kuku Yalanji Native Title Group and the Western Yalanji Native Title Group; and
(d) discuss the group description for Eastern Kuku Yalanji.
Who is invited to attend the meeting?
All members of the Eastern Kuku Yalanji Native Title Group.
