This notice is to advise that Cape York Land Council (CYLC) will be facilitating a consultation with Darrba Traditional Owners in relation to the proposed Mining Lease (ML) 100311 access route. ML 100311 has been notified by the State of Queensland as affecting areas both within and outside of the Cape York United Number 1 Native Title Claim (CYU#1 Claim). CYLC is the legal representative of the Applicant of the CYU#1 Claim and is facilitating this consultation in relation to those areas within the CYU#1 Claim. This meeting is to discuss the proposed access route and the effect it may have on Darrba traditional land and waters.

The purpose of this meeting is to:
- discuss the proposed mining lease access route;
- discuss Native Title and cultural heritage implications of the proposed creation of the access route; and
- seek instructions from Darrba Traditional Owners in relation to this matter.
