This notice is to advise that Cape York Land Council (CYLC) will be holding a meeting on Tuesday 6 February 2024 in Hopevale for all members of the Guugu Yimidhirr Native Title Group who hold or may hold native title rights and interests in the area shown on the map below within the Cape York United #1 (CYU#1) Claim Area. Details of this meeting are as follows:

Purpose of Meeting
The purpose of this meeting is for CYLC to provide an update on the status of the CYU#1 Claim and to discuss next steps required to progress towards a determination of native title, including taking instructions from the group as to:
(a) the boundary resolution plan that the group would like to undertake to resolve its common boundaries with neighbours; and
(b) confirmation of the persons who hold cultural authority to speak for boundary areas.

All Guugu Yimidhirr People are invited to attend this meeting.
