As the Executive Assistant you will provide support to the Chief Executive Officer, Chairperson and Executive team who are committed to achieving the visions of CYLC. Building on your existing skills you will perform comprehensive Executive secretarial duties and provide support to the Executive team and Board of Directors and liaise, as necessary under the guidance of the CEO, with external stakeholders, relevant government officers and Cape York regional organisations..
This role offers a unique cross-cultural experience working closely with Aboriginal people in Cape York Peninsula. The ability to communicate effectively with our community members, whilst understanding the issues affecting Indigenous people is an essential requirement of this role.
To be successful in this role you will have a strong background providing high level executive secretarial support to a management team (including previous experience in arranging logistics and taking minutes at Board and management meetings), be highly motivated, enthusiastic to learn new skills and have excellent time management and communication skills. Experience working with Indigenous people would be an advantage.
The remuneration and benefits package will be based on the skills and experience of the successful applicant.
